Amidst the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 passengers were diverted to land in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland in Canada – which had a population of just over 9,000 people.
During one of humanity’s darkest times, this true story captures the spirit of kindness, resilience and human connection between the locals and the “come from aways” (the name Newfoundlanders use for visitors) in the days that followed.
Through a blend of storytelling and folk-rock music, this Tony Award-winning musical will take you on an uplifting and emotional journey as you meet the characters and learn about their stories.
