As part of a Fund Raising idea for BATS I am organising the collection of Unwanted Mobile Phones for Recycling. These can be working or non-working, very old or very new!
Please have a dig around in your cupboards and drawers for any phones you no longer need! Please ask your family and friends too!
There are a couple of points to note:
Please remove your SIM, data cards, photos etc and any other information you may need on the phone - once it's been sent off we can't get it back!
Only the mobile phone is required ie no chargers or accessories are needed. I just need to know if the phone is working or not. (I'm happy to collect chargers/accessories and donate them to the jumble sales if you no longer need them!)
Working Phones
The phone must switch on and off
The phone must be complete with all battery covers and bodywork
The integral body work should have no cracked, missing plastics / metal and there should be no missing buttons
The body work should not be hanging off the main body of the phone in any way
The LCD must be working and power up correctly and fully beyond the network ‘Welcome Note’, the screen intact with no cracks
The LCD must have no lines or missing pixels
The screen must be intact with no cracks
Phones should not have liquid damage
A white screen does not constitute a working phone
If the phone has a touch screen the touch screen must be fully functional
If you do not have a battery or the battery does not work it is ok
Slider mechanisms must function correctly
Non-Working Phone
The phone must not be crushed, broken in half, or bent in any way, liquid damaged or missing any integral parts such as camera, LCD etc
We do not accept stolen or barred handsets. We check all received phones via www.checkmend.com a crime protection database, to ensure that the mobile phones are not barred or registered stolen.
For any further information please contact Sarah on 0780 8247984, Sarah_Jeffery@uk.ibm.com or at rehearsals! Thank-you!
