Friends of BATS – Supporting Amateur Theatre

Since the formation of Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society in 1958, the Society has entertained those living in and around the Basingstoke area with a range of productions, including cabarets, pantomimes and musical theatre shows.

The ‘Friends of BATS’ Scheme offers a number of exclusive benefits to patrons who support the society by becoming one of our Friends. In return for a modest annual subscription, Friends receive:

• Behind the scenes access: invitations to pre-show talks, set and stage tours and meet the cast
• Interval drinks reception during show weeks (one reception per show)
• Invitation to sit in on a setting rehearsal with the director to see how a show is put together
• Advance ticket booking (a selection of best seats will be reserved before being released for general sale)
• Complimentary show programme (upon production of a valid Friends card)
• Complimentary newsletter
• Annual membership card (valid from 1st October – 30th September)

Subscription & Payment Options

The Friends membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September:

1. “Leading Player”: Single annual membership (£20)
2. “Leading Couple”: Joint annual membership (£30)
3. “Supporting Artist”: Donation (for those who do not wish to join the Friends scheme but make a donation. NB If donating online, the minimum donation amount is £10).

Payment By Cheque

Download the Friends of BATS flyer, complete the membership form and send with a cheque payable to “BATS” to: Friends of BATS Scheme, c/o 1 Beach Piece Way, Hatch Warren, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG22 4TQ.

Payment Online

Pay online using PayPal (you do not need to have a PayPal account to so this). Click on the “Pay Now” logo against the relevant membership payment option below and follow the instructions on screen. All payments above £10 will incur a £1 handling fee to cover the costs of using PayPal. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque, which will not incur the £1 handling fee.
