General information
Martyn has been involved in the theatre since 1979 when he first trod the boards in Maidstone Operatic Society's production of 'Gypsey Baron', and has never looked back since. After nine years performing with amateur societies, Martyn turned professional and joined a Portugese dancing troupe working around the world, then moved the TV with the Black and White Minstrels and also appearing in 'The Good Old Days'. He has appeared in many West End shows with a highlight being the 1984 Royal Variety performance in front of HM The Queen.
In 1990, Martyn 'retired' to start directing and choreographing shows for amateur companies, winning the Southern Echo Best Musical Award in 2004 for his production of 'My Fair Lady'. He is also a regular tutor at the NODA Summer School in Loughborough and the Ripon Summer School.
