Janet's association with dance and theatre started at the age of six, taking dancing lessons and competing in dance festivals. She got into amateur dramatics in 1985 when she was asked to perform in Reading Operatic Society's ‘Oklahoma!’. Janet's adult debut came in 1993's ‘Brigadoon’ and she regularly performed with ROS until 2005, as well as singing and choreographing for other local societies. She joined BATS, after a short rest, in 2008 for ‘Crazy for You’.Outside the theatre, Janet works part-time and cares for her three young children, and also enjoys cycling, walking, camping and sleeping!
