General information
David trained in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting, after playing roles for BATS including Tony in ‘West Side Story’ and Billy in ‘42nd Street’ at The Anvil. David made his professional stage debut in ‘The Hired Man’ at Salisbury Playhouse which won the TMA Award for Best Musical, followed by two seasons as a principal singer at the ‘Thursford Christmas Spectacular’ in Norfolk. Other roles include Tony in Barry Manilow’s ‘Copacabana’ at the Nuffield in Southampton and Jack in ‘Into the Woods’ at Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon. With the swing cabaret group GoDiva, David’s credits include ‘Cock-Ups!’ at the Mill at Sonning, directed by Simon Williams. David has also presented and sung on many children’s CDs and to a generation of toddlers he is the voice of Tumble Tots! Away from the stage, David produces and reports for BBC One’s regional news programme, South Today.
